Thierry Henry has spoken about Real Madrid and Barcelona.
After leaving Arsenal, the Frenchman had a successful late-career run at Barcelona, as was reported by Marca on CBS Sports.
Henry was speaking before of Madrid’s Champions League final versus Liverpool, which will take place in Paris at the end of May. Los Blancos have advanced to the final after defeating Paris Saint-Germain, Chelsea, and Manchester City.
“All European clubs are afraid of Real Madrid, and Real Madrid is afraid of Barcelona,” Henry stated. “However, I believe Liverpool will triumph in the Champions League.” They are more powerful than Madrid.”
Henry, on the other hand, backed his countrymen Karim Benzema to win the Ballon d’Or over Sadio Mane of Liverpool, who has been linked with Barcelona this morning.
“I still think Benzema is the better player, but if Mane wins with Liverpool and they win the quadruple, he’ll be a formidable opponent,” Henry remarked. Mane led the Senegalese national side to victory in the African Cup of Nations earlier this year.
“It’d be fantastic for Africa, but I’m sticking with Benzema.”
And Henry is no stranger to world-class strikers.
The now 44-year-old scored 51 goals in 123 matches for France and had a brilliant club career that included stints with Monaco, Juventus, and the New York Red Bulls, as well as Arsenal and Barcelona. In his club career, he scored 360 goals.
