A scuffle between the Ghana Police Service and three claimed armed robbers in a popular night club in East Legon, a neighborhood of Ghana’s capital Accra, has been confirmed by Kingdom FM.
According to sources, quick calls to the police saved the life of Jamaican music legend Popcaan, who was present at the club. The police transported him to safety swiftly and were able to make several arrests.
Despite heavy opposition from his security detail, the determined bad and Notorious thieves were reportedly intended on taking from the music icon. Popcaan is said to have become a target for armed robbery attacks after revealing that he had traveled to Ghana to spend several thousand dollars on holiday.
He wasn’t bragging at all. In Accra, he allegedly spent $15 million on a single bottle of booze. Ghana’s reputation would have been tarnished if the police had not intervened.
The story was also broadcast on Radio One, which praised the Ghana Police Service for their quick response in restoring order.
