Among hip-hop artists, Drake is a big fan of sports. A lot of people in the sports world know that the Canadian artist likes to bet. Drake seems to think that a certain player will be the first wide receiver off the board in the 2022 NFL Draft, and he has put $100k on it.
He posted a screenshot of a bet slip on Instagram on Thursday that showed that he had bet $100,000 on Drake London, a wide receiver for USC, to be the first player to be taken. She wrote, “Drake betting on Drake just feels right.” Finally, that bet paid off big time, as Drake was chosen as the eighth best player in the world.
Drake won $335,000 when his bet paid off. His best college season came last year.
88 receptions for 1,084 yards and seven touchdowns for the Trojans in 2021. London played in eight games for the team. It said he was the Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Year and that he was a first-team All-American by Pro Football Focus. At USC, London caught 160 passes for 2,153 yards and 15 touchdowns over three years in the football team.
When Drake made the bet, he made it on Stake.com, which isn’t available in the United States. In March, he said that he was going to work with them, so his bet is likely an advertisement. In the meantime, you can check out his Instagram post below.
