Following his viewing of Kanye West’s Netflix documentary, Davido is inspired to document his own journey.

Following his inspiration from American rapper Kanye West and his quest to stardom, Nigerian artist Davido may be preparing to film his journey thus far.

While noting that he was only halfway through the second episode of Jeen-Yuhs, the DMW label owner expressed regret for having let one of his buddies, who had documented their musical journey during his formative years, leave the show.

The reason for this, according to Davido’s Instagram stories, could be that he didn’t trust in himself that his success story would turn out this way, and he didn’t want to pull anybody else along with him as a result.

He reached out to the friend in question via his Instagram stories and requested that he send him any video footage that he may have of him. He received no response.
Jeen-Yuhs is a three-part Netflix documentary comprised of decades’ worth of rare footage documenting Kanye West’s meteoric journey to celebrity. He penned the following:

“Omo After viewing episode 2 of this Kanye documentary in its entirety, I became so enraged that I urged my boyfriend Dami (Dami reel) to leave me and pursue his ambitions while I hustle this thing on my own!! But, even if I didn’t trust in myself, I’m not sure I’d want to put my faith in another individual. Damie, if you’re reading this, please send me any footage you may have of me.”

It is worth recalling that Davido recently purchased a multi-million naira diamond pendant for himself, which he proudly displayed on his social media sites. More information can be found here.
