Ari Lennox, a musician based in the United States, has declared her love for Ghana after visiting the country on her most recent tour.
Ari was in the country to play at Afrochella during the ‘detty’ December season as part of the ‘Beyond the Return’ agenda and on her way to discovering her roots.
The singer, who is signed to Grammy winner J. Cole’s record label, was treated to a relaxing tour of Elmina, where she discovered she has Ghanaian ancestors.
She described a gloomy emotion that went through her body as she wandered through caves at the castle.
She wrote that the words “May those who return find their roots” engraved on a tombstone make her cry every time she sees them.
The Bussit trailblazer was also escorted to several stunning spots in Ghana, where she had a fantastic time.
Ari Lennox has rated Ghana the most beautiful country in the world as a result of his travels.
She wrote that the country provided her with healing she didn’t know she needed, and that her experience has prepared her for a new family and life.
The singer has also indicated an interest in purchasing a home so that she can visit from time to time.
Ari is one of several international superstars who have fallen in love with Ghana as a result of the ‘Year of Return’ project.
