Mason Greenwood, a Manchester United striker, has been suspended following claims of rape and assault.
Harriet Robson, Greenwood’s ex-girlfriend, had accused the 20-year-old player of rape and assault via her Instagram stories.
Robson uploaded a voice clip as well as images of the injuries she got as a result of the Man United forward’s onslaught.
“To everyone who wants to know what Mason Greenwood actually does to me,” the model, who was covered in blood and bruises, captioned the video.
Manchester United confirmed in a statement on Sunday evening that Greenwood would not return to training or play any games “until further notice.”
“Mason Greenwood will not return to training or play matches until further notice,” the statement reads.
The club had previously stated that they would not speak more until all facts were determined.
“We are aware of photographs and allegations circulating on social media,” the statement reads. We shall refrain from making any additional statements until the facts are confirmed.
“Violence of any type is not tolerated at Manchester United.”
