Wikid has received yet another international award to add to his long list of honors.

During the fourth night of the NAACP Image Awards’ virtual festivities on Thursday, the Afrobeats star won the Outstanding International Song Award.

He defeated KiDi, the only Ghanaian nominated for the NAACP this year, Omah Lay, Fireboy DML, and Tiwa Savage to win the honor.

KiDi was nominated for her first international prize.

His single ‘Touch it’ catapulted him to global fame, boosting his popularity and monthly Spotify listeners.

The song’s popularity on TikTok is astounding. The number of views on ‘Touch It’-related videos on the social media platform has topped 250 million.

The song peaked at #7 on the official UK Afrobeats chart. The song began charting in 51 countries on Spotify and 49 countries on Apple Music within a few weeks after its release, including India, Costa Rica, Columbia, and the Netherlands.

On YouTube, the music video for the mega hit has over 17 million views.
